SHORT-ORDER COOK at Destination Geneva National
The short-order cook is traditionally part of our outdoor culinary team, serving up fresh, fast, and flavorful food at our F&B outlets adjacent to our outdoor saltwater pool and putting course. All Culinary staff may be assigned to any of our F&B venues,from Geneva National's Clubhouse restaurant, turf kitchen + tap, to our five-star Hunt Club Steakhouse, Lodge GN's Crafted Italia, and in our banquet kitchens for special events.
Job Responsibilities
Cook made-to-order items like smashburgers, chipotle bowls, sandwiches, and grilled favorites with speed and consistency
Keep the line moving during busy outdoor service while maintaining quality and presentation
Set up and stock your station for smooth, efficient service
Follow food safety and sanitation standards in a high-volume environment
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and ready for the next rush
Qualifications
Previous line cook or short-order experience required
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stay composed during busy service
Leadership experience for Lead role preferred
Physical Demands
Stand and move for extended periods throughout the shift
Lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity
Safely handle hot surfaces, open flames, and sharp tools
Bend, reach, and kneel frequently during food prep and service
