Job Description (JD) – Assistant Manager (Taxation)
Position: Assistant Manager – Taxation
Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Gurgaon
Experience: 4–7 Years
Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com
Key Responsibilities:
Manage direct and indirect taxation compliances including GST, TDS, Income Tax and related filings.
Preparation and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) and reconciliation with books.
Handle TDS compliances including deduction, deposit, filing of returns, and issuance of Form 16/16A.
Support in Income Tax computation, advance tax workings, and filing of returns.
Perform GST input credit reconciliation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Coordinate and assist in tax audits, statutory audits, and assessments.
Manage responses to notices from Income Tax / GST departments and liaise with consultants.
Ensure compliance with changes in taxation laws and update internal processes accordingly.
Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax-related activities.
Assist in preparation of MIS reports and tax-related management reporting.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and compliance processes.
Hands-on experience in GST reconciliation and return filing.
Working knowledge of SAP / Tally / ERP systems.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple compliances.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Experience in corporate taxation and statutory compliances.
Exposure to handling audits and departmental notices.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
