
Scattered Site Property Manager
Job Description
Provides property management and operations oversight, ensuring occupancy levels are maintained.
Shows and leases apartments to potential residents, gathers and prepares information required for tax
Represent the company in a positive, professional manner to all callers, guests, and staff.
Order office supplies.
Process rental applications, certifications and recertifications, rent calculations, and prepare
leasing documents in accordance with regulatory agency specifications and Fair Housing laws.
Answer phones and maintain daily traffic log.
Verify income documents and maintain resident files in accordance with regulatory programs.
Collect rent from property residents. Prepare/submit deposits.
Collaborate with other team members and supervisor to create a successful resident-focused
property.
Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with audit preparations each year.
Attend training as assigned.
Work on special projects as assigned.
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two (2) years of experience in property management, tax credit management, or similar
position preferred.
One (1) year of experience serving evictions and participating in court proceedings strongly
preferred.
Two (2) years of experience with low income and disabled clients/residents preferred.
Knowledge of HUD supportive housing programs preferred.
Knowledge of HUD Continuum of Care preferred.
Current CPR/First Aid certification required or obtain upon hire.
Current valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Automobile liability insurance that meets minimum requirements.
Passion for people who are underserved.
Intermediate computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically
Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with people of all levels
and backgrounds.
Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Positive attitude, high level of flexibility, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive
situations.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to communicate with others in an
understandable manner. Work may be both sedentary and physical and may involve long hours both
sitting at a computer and also standing, walking, stooping, bending, and climbing stairs. Must be able to
life and move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must life and move up to 50 pounds. Regular
attendance at work is a requirement of this position. Able to travel among Volunteer of America
locations within North Louisiana as required.
