About the team The TikTok Shop team's mission is to create a world class e-commerce experience that helps TikTok users find and discover amazing new products and goods. We're looking for a Content Design Manager to lead a team of international content designers that cover multiple areas of the e-commerce business.
We're looking for a manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is able to effectively manage and collaborate across timezones, has experience advocating for the CD discipline, and is equally as skilled as a leader as they are a content designer. Though this is a management role, a core expectation is deeply understanding CD workflows and supporting key areas of the business by delivering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced, cross-cultural work environment
- Ensure UX/UI meets content and design standards and champion best practices
- Define practical solutions and processes for large-scale problems
- Develop strong product narratives in partnership with stakeholders
- Lead a team of 6+ content designers of various levels
- Facilitate projects, align on priorities, allocate resources, and strengthen collaboration with global XFN
- Establish and maintain a positive team culture and strengthen the CD team's skills
- Provide actionable feedback, drive consistency, and improve content quality and team efficiency
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in content design, UX writing, content strategy, copywriting, UX, or equivalent fields
- 2+ years experience in managing, mentoring, coaching, and developing a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead a team while also delivering individual projects
- Experience collaborating with Product Management, Design, Legal, Engineering, and Localization teams
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay focused when faced with changing requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- E-commerce experience
- Experience working on a global product with international partners in different time zones
- Strong interest in social app products, user and influencer behavior, and associated trends
