Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
Certification - $2.00/hour
Preceptor - $2.00/hour
San Exam - $500.00
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across multiple units within the hospital or healthcare system based on patient care needs and staffing requirements. including emergency, medical-surgical, telemetry, and the intensive care unit. This role requires a high level of clinical competence, adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to function effectively in fast-paced and diverse care environments. The Float Pool RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care while maintaining flexibility to adjust to varying patient populations and acuity levels across assigned units.
This position demands strong critical thinking skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal unit-specific orientation. The Float Pool RN supports organizational goals by enhancing staffing efficiency, maintaining continuity of care, and contributing to a positive patient and staff experience.
EDUCATION
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program, required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in critical care or emergency nursing required.
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Washington; or Temporary Washington State RN licensure with pending permanent licensure; or Current RN licensure from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state with multistate privilege to practice in Washington State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire, required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire, required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 days of hire, required.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 30 days of hire, required.
- Registered Nurse National certification, preferred
