FA – Maintenance – Pipefitter
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Position Summary
The Maintenance Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems and mechanical equipment supporting chemical manufacturing operations. This role ensures plant reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance through precision workmanship and proactive maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities
Plan work by reviewing blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and construction drawings
Calculate materials required; coordinate with affected departments to schedule work
Install piping systems by measuring, cutting, bending, threading, fabricating, soldering, and assembling pipe using hand and power tools
Insulate piping systems as required
Conduct operating tests to ensure proper system function
Identify, troubleshoot, and repair piping and mechanical system issues
Maintain documentation of completed work and maintenance activities
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with plant and regulatory standards
Participate in training and professional development opportunities
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems and layouts
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and piping diagrams
Experience with flanges, manways, gaskets, steam traps, tubing, and general valve maintenance
Experience working with relief valves
Oxy-acetylene torch experience required
General mechanical knowledge of pumps, compressors, agitators, bearings, and seals
Pipe welding experience preferred (not required)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Safety-oriented mindset in a chemical manufacturing environment
Work Requirements
Must be available to work more than 8 hours per day and 40+ hours per week as operational needs require
Ability to work in an industrial plant environment
