Job Description
The Amazon Studios Local Originals seeks a Sr. Scripted Creative Executive. You will have experience in both development and production, and the ability to identify material and talent and guide top-level writers and directors in the creation of outlines, scripts, cuts, and other material. Using your comprehensive knowledge of top tier film and premium television talent, you will build on your previous industry relationships and develop new ones. You will be joining a self-motivated, passionate and collaborative team environment. This position will be based in São Paulo.
Key job responsibilities
• Convey Amazon Studios TV strategy among top Brazil industry players; support relationship management to ensure positive and professional interaction.
• Seek out and recommend format proposals, scripts, and pitches.
• Work with writers to develop stories and scripts for Amazon Studios’ Brazil Originals slate.
• Have a strong working knowledge of, and experience with, production companies and creatives in the market.
• Provide support through all creative and logistical aspects of development, production, post-production, and launch.
• Support interactions between the Brazil Originals department and all other Amazon Studios departments in Brazil.
• Support new voices within the TV landscape for Brazil Prime Video customers.
• Participate in internal status report, business, and Greenlight meetings pertaining to Brazil Originals.
• Maintain a keen understanding of trends, social issues, and current events of interest to Brazilian audiences and constantly iterate on ways to address these through our Originals programming.
The Amazon Studios Local Originals seeks a Sr. Scripted Creative Executive. You will have experience in both development and production, and the ability to identify material and talent and guide top-level
- 7+ years of creative executive experience
- 5+ years of series development experience
- Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
- Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
- Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience leading creative development of scripted projects end-to-end, including guiding writers and directors through outlines, scripts, and cuts
- Experience managing relationships with senior-level talent (showrunners, directors, writers, and production company principals)
- Experience driving high performance content and growth within a world class content company
- Experience working as a producer, creative executive, or a similar role
- 12+ years of series development experience
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- 10+ years of experience in scripted content development at a streaming platform, studio, premium network, or major production company
