Job Description

Supports the communication strategy and implementation for the EMCE team that supports Enrollment Management division. Oversees, leads and develops timely, engaging, and effective communications as needed in the format, subject areas, and/or various platforms as assigned (primarily email, text message, and websites). Frequently advises and assists EM units, as well as college and campus departments and external partners with communication needs and contributes to the creation and management of communication plans. Demonstrates familiarity with university processes and resources including admissions policies; scholarship and financial aid policies; student services policies and procedures; and academic policies and requirements. Coordinates and supports communication plans for the EMCE team and the EM division. Ensures that all communications are aligned with the University of Arizona brand (and established family brands, where appropriate) in messaging and tone. Collaborates with digital, creative, and content marketing teams where appropriate. Collaborates with EMCE and other units within EM to support enrollment strategies. Establishes and maintains relationships with campus partners and department liaisons. Represents the university and Office of Undergraduate Admissions in a variety of settings. Stays informed on best practices in marketing/communications/public relations to serve as a content strategy authority and identify opportunities to incorporate new strategies into communications. Researches and gathers information from various sources within the university to ensure accurate and timely communications. Maintain awareness of campus activities to accurately convey the comprehensive student journey through innovative and effective ways. Serves as EMCE point of contact for admissions website content maintenance and updates. Leads and utilizes project management system and internal ticketing system to manage and execute projects; track and report project milestones. Maintains status awareness of current or planned projects for the assigned departments and acts as a secondary monitor of work quality and progress completion. Utilizes CRM to build, edit, and create communications upon request. Support broader EM efforts and enrollment events when needed (We ask team members to attend enrollment events to support as needed). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skills in writing content that suits a variety of internal and external audiences. Skills in editing content and the ability to provide constructive feedback. Strategic thinking and problem-solve skills with confidence in demanding situations. Ability to work on and deliver multiple projects simultaneously. Skills in maintaining priorities and provide concise correspondence to internal stakeholders and teams regarding project status. Provide close attention to detail skills. Ability to meet targets and deadlines. Knowledge of communication strategies and best practices. Knowledge of marketing techniques and strategies. Knowledge of data and analytics. Knowledge of CRM and CMS platforms. Knowledge of Higher education industry. Knowledge in admissions and recruitment practices within higher education. Additional Information: This position may have 1-2 direct reports in the future.
