Position Summary: The Refrigeration Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems across the site. The successful candidate will bring strong technical experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in an operating plant environment. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems Work on Air Handling Units (AHUs), Make-Up Air Units (MUA), and Rooftop Units (RTUs) Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective maintenance Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system reliability Qualifications & Requirements: Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic certification (required) Gas “A” ticket preferred Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC systems Experience working in an industrial plant environment Valid driver’s license Ability to work in a physically demanding environment Safety Certifications (Required): CSTS 2020 Fall Protection Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Work Schedule & Compensation: 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday), 10-hour shifts Competitive wages, benefits and pension in alignment with union UA Local 488 Refrigeration agreement. Work is performed under GPMC long term maintenance agreement.
