- Provide actuarial and analytical support to the High Net Worth (HNW) Asset-Liability Management (ALM) team by delivering financial and regulatory reporting, supporting hedging activities, and contributing to strategic ALM initiatives, including capital management and process enhancements. The role ensures accurate measurement and management of balance sheet risks and supports decision-making across Finance, Risk, and Investments.
Preferred skills
Strong understanding of asset-liability management concepts and financial reporting
Knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks and risk metrics
Actuarial modeling and analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills; programming knowledge (e.g., VBA, Python, or R) and experience with Pathwise is an asset
Understanding of investment products and hedging concepts is an asset
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
Progress toward actuarial designation; ASA required for senior level, with continued progress toward Fellowship
At least 5 years of relevant actuarial or financial services experience (depending on level)
Experience with asset-liability management, financial reporting, or capital management is preferred
Responsibilities
Deliver ALM financial and regulatory reporting
Produce financial results, analyze drivers of performance, and develop business commentary to support internal and regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely deliverySupport hedging program execution
Collaborate with valuation, portfolio management, and investment teams to monitor and support daily hedging activities, ensuring exposures are managed within defined limits.Perform capital and risk analysis
Analyze capital metrics and assess the impact of ALM strategies on balance sheet risk exposures to support effective risk and capital management.Drive ALM process and methodology enhancements
Identify opportunities to improve ALM models, tools, and reporting processes, and contribute to implementation of enhancements to increase efficiency and insight.Support strategic ALM initiatives
Contribute to projects such as balance sheet optimization, assumptions and methodologies development, and other strategic initiatives.Partner with cross-functional stakeholders
Work with Finance, Risk, and Investment teams to support business initiatives, provide insights, and ensure alignment across functions
