Description of Work

We are currently recruiting a Carpenter II position for Central Regional Hospital. The purpose of this position is to maintain and provide repairs at CRH and the CRH Annex Campus. This employee will work in a variety of building settings and will work both inside and outside in the elements. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

- Position will build walls with sheetrock & block

- Install steel windows and door frames, install locks and door closers, form and pour concrete, hang doors, install bulletin boards, hang pictures, put up curtain rods & blinds

- Assess and make repairs as needed to EPDM, TPO, Metal, and Shingle roof systems

- Construction and repair of furniture

- Install counter tops, install floor tile and rubber base, and other duties as assigned by department leadership

- Repair of leaking roofs and other equipment

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $39,244.00 - $68,679.00

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

  • Working knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the carpentry trade.

  • Working knowledge of tools and materials used in repairing and constructing wooden articles Skill in the use of carpenters' hand tools and woodworking machines. 

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, or sketches. 

  • Ability to make accurate arithmetical calculations. 

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.  

Conditional Requirements: Valid Driver's License

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

This is a first shift position. Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. Flexibility in work schedule is required to meet hospital needs.
