Ansell is looking for an Associate Director, Global Category Management Mechanical to join our team!
This role leads the global strategy and performance of the Ringers, Edge, and ActivArmr portfolio, owning product lifecycle, NPD, quality, compliance, and P&L. This role drives portfolio growth and optimization, leads cross-functional initiatives, and serves as the global point of contact from product vision through launch, while collaborating with key stakeholders and leading a team of GCMs.

What your role will be?
Leads and drives full product lifecycle management, including continuous improvement and portfolio rationalization to enhance sales, profitability, and efficiency
Develops and executes global portfolio strategy for Ringers, Edge, and ActivArmr
Monitors sales performance, pricing, and competitive landscape; collaborates with regional teams to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets
Defines category strategy and budgeting, ensuring optimal product positioning and performance
Supports and aligns New Product Development (NPD) with portfolio strategy, from concept to market introduction
Contributes to make vs. buy decisions and strategic sourcing (insourcing vs. outsourcing)
Initiates and oversees NPD projects, providing leadership, coaching, and strategic direction
Ensures end-to-end execution of NPD processes, including business cases, development, validation, commercialization, and launch readiness
Acts as global subject matter expert and supports training and knowledge transfer to Sales teams
Partners with Global Operations to ensure accurate product specifications and operational efficiency
Leads competitive benchmarking efforts across pricing, capacity, and product performance
Ensures compliance with regulations, quality standards, and continuous improvement of product specifications and systems
Participates in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) for NPD and new product launches
What will you bring to Ansell?
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, preferable with a marketing or business concentration
MBA highly desirable, but not essential
Job Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing or Business Development
- Experience in leading or coordinating cross-functional teams and in working in a matrix organization
- Experience in a global / multinational environment
- Project Management experience is desirable
- PPE or Safety industry experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong business acumen with a customer-focused and entrepreneurial mindset}
- Solid financial and budget management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build consensus
