Forklift Operator / Dock Worker / Hostler / AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely Load, unload, sort, and move freight throughout the dock Record shipment shortages or damage to help minimize cargo claims Complete shipping paperwork including bills of lading, manifests, freight counts, and hazardous material documentation Regroup and organize freight as needed Perform hostler duties, including moving trailers to dock doors or yard locations, when needed Conduct pre/post-trip inspections when performing hostler duties Maintain dependable attendance and work various shifts based on business needs Other duties as assigned Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma or GED preferred  Previous warehouse, dock, or forklift experience preferred Forklift experience strongly preferred Hostler experience is a plus, but not required Basic math, measuring, and weighing skills required Experience using pallet jacks, dock carts, dock plates, load locks, and related equipment preferred Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, dispatch, and managers LTL experience preferred Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, and verbal) required Oak Harbor Freight Lines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
