POSITION: Technical Procedures Writer – Quality QMS

 What You will Do:

  • Primary: Utilize your technical writing skills amassed from prior experience in collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Discipline SME’s to create/update top line Quality Management System (QMS) documentation for a global aero-engine OEM. These multi-layered, revision controlled, and SharePoint accessed documents include Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, and Checklists created with advanced functionality of MS Office tools. Work includes attending workshops, interacting with Discipline SMEs, and taking a lead role in the customer’s formal vetting process.
  • Support our business growth initiatives through daily work / interactions.

 

What You Will Bring:

 Experience

  • BA/BS degree w/ Technical aptitude.
  • 15+ years relevant Technical Procedural writing for an AS9100/ISO9001 OEM.
    • Experience with Aero-Engine OEMs (noteworthy).
  • Quality Engineering experience (noteworthy).
  • Other Technical Certifications (noteworthy).

Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:

  • SME level Technical Writing experience associated with Developing, Authoring, and Maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) to AS / ISO requirements.
  • Ability to listen, read, digest, and converse accurately on wide array of technical subjects with technical people in a technical environment.
  • Advanced MS Word. 
  • Mine, collate, summarize, and present technical data/information.
  • Knowledge of the Product Life Cycle of OEM products including MRO services.
  • Familiar working with quality specifications, process flow, and performance requirements of technical engineered products (aero-engines preferred).
  • Appreciation for interaction of QMS and Process/Procedural Audits.
  • Acquainted with OEMs whose global footprint includes both commercial and government/military customers.
  • Familiar with MRP systems.
  • Muli-tasking.
  • Problem Solving.

Pay Range: $70,000-90,000 USD – Flexible Full-Time role. 

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and other incentives.

Work Requirements:

This position is classified as Remote within the United States.

Travel requirements: Minimal.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
