Job Description
Performing the function of the Local Specialist for the product portfolio (competition, trends, user needs, local key accounts and developing possible strategic options) 2 Support of key account (KA)/sales teams in the "push" development of the portfolio (incl. preparation of stock proposals and customer offers, participation in customer presentations as "expert" for the assortment) 3 Responsible for the local budget Sales and Consolidated Gross Margin (Conso GM II) for the portfolio 4 Understanding local market needs; identifying opportunities; providing input for global product management (PM) (to adjust portfolio, performance and cost of product portfolio) 5 Planning and preparing the introduction of globally developed products on site; developing and launching local products (only in consultation with global PM) [if required]; ensuring compliance with product and packaging regulations, costs, quality standards, and project schedules. 6 Conducting training for internal (sales team) and external (e.g. WDs, workshops) customers (in cooperation with the local/central training department); acting as the customer's primary contact for the product (technical); attending exhibitions 7 Contribute to the determination of local product prices (e.g. gross price or standard net price in collaboration with the price manager) to optimize portfolio growth and profitability. 8 Participate in analyzing portfolio performance (e.g. Sales/Conso GM II) and assortment optimization; promote corrective actions (in cooperation with Sales Marketing) if an unsatisfactory sales/profitability development is detected; carry out deletions of "less sold / not profitable" products with low chances of sustainable market success (in coordination with global PM) 9 Participation in supporting sales planning (incl. budgeting process forecasting), inventory/OFCF management 10 Assist in supporting quality management (especially in case of major problems or product/package deviations from the agreed specification; understanding local legal, environmental and safety requirements) as well as supporting and defining product marketing strategies (in cooperation with the marketing department; including support in preparing and translating local materials); assist in coordinating all local activities relevant to the product group.
