Mercedes-Benz R&D China is headquartered in Beijing and is opening a R&D branch office in Shanghai, with key areas of Autonomous Driving(AD), Adavanced Driving Asistant System (ADAS), Cloud Platform for ADAS/AD, Advanced Interaction Design, Telematics, Big Data Analytics, and Open Innovation.
Our AD AI Algo team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Data Service Architect to support with the collection and analysis of data from Mercedes-Benz Vehicles. At this role you will have the unique opportunity to work with a group of innovative engineers together to improve driving safety and customer driving experience.
Task Description
- Design data mining solutions to support our next generation AD product development
- Develop predictive models and new algorithms that can fit to AD development needed
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to define use-cases of data mining
- Research on new tech and improve data mining solutions on efficiency and accuracy.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant engineering area or equivalent experience.
- Minimum or 3 years of experience in AD data driven development or 5 years of experience in big data development, preferably in the automotive industry, abroad, or in an international company.
- Demonstrable programming experience with Java, Python, Spark, Flink, Kafka, and other big data frameworks.
- Proficiency in data mining techiiques such as clustering, classficiation, regression, association rule mining and anomaly detection.
- Proficiency in machine learning such as supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, and deep learning..
- Familiarity with database such as SQL/NoSQL.
- Understanding of Real-time Data Processing techniques and technologies.
- Knowledge of Data Quality and Governance best practices.
- Experience with cloud-based architectures, preferably in Azure, Tencent, or Alibaba Cloud.
- Automotive industry experience, with familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional proficiency in German is a plus.
- Self-responsible working attitude and initiative.
- Strong intercultural competence and excellent communication skills.
