Facilities and Maintenance Technician

Fuel the Mission!
Great food and hospitality spaces only thrive when they are cared for with real pride, hard work, and a sense of ownership. We are looking for a full-time, on-site Facilities and Maintenance Technician to keep our retail spaces, commissary kitchens, commercial equipment, and properties running perfectly year-round.

This is a hands-on role across our locations in Louisville, KY and LaGrange, KY. We want someone who treats company property like their very own and takes pride in keeping everything in tip-top shape.

What You’ll Do
  • Fix & Maintain Kitchen Gear: Run routine checks and handle minor repairs on commercial kitchen and grocery equipment. This includes ovens, dishwashers, mixers, and refrigeration systems (like walk-in freezers, display cases, and ice machines).
  • Troubleshoot Core Systems: Solve everyday issues with plumbing, light electrical work, heating/cooling, and mechanical systems.
  • Be the First Responder: Act as the main on-site contact for urgent maintenance emergencies.
  • Keep Spaces Safe & Clean: Maintain organized maintenance shops and storage areas. Make sure we follow OSHA safety practices and assist with internal safety inspections.
  • Manage Outside Vendors: Coordinate with specialized repair technicians and experts when a job requires extra help.
  • Handle Seasonal Needs: Help protect the property during bad weather, including urgent storm response and snow removal.
  • Keep Clear Logs: Write down detailed service logs and keep track of your tool and part inventories.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities care, or a similar role.
  • Solid Skill Set: Strong troubleshooting skills in refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical, light electrical, and building systems.
  • Tool Savvy: Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic material-handling gear. (If you have forklift experience, that is a big plus!)
  • Character: A calm decision-maker who stays cool in urgent situations. You are highly self-directed and always follow through on a task.
  • Safety First: Good knowledge of OSHA safety practices (an official certification is preferred but not required).
  • License: A valid driver's license is required.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb on level and uneven surfaces for an 8–10 hour workday.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb ladders, and comfortably work in tight or confined spaces.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in different environments, including hot kitchens, outdoor weather (heat and cold), and sub-zero walk-in freezers.
  • Flexibility to work some nights, weekends, and be available for emergency call-ins as needed.
Benefits:
  • Our comprehensive and competitive benefits package includes 401(k) retirement plan, health insurance options (traditional or HSA), dental and vision coverage, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, paid time off, and employee discounts.
