For our cargo operation, we are looking for a precise and responsible Special Cargo Checker who ensures that sensitive and special shipments are handled safely and in full compliance with regulations

What will you do

Imagine this: a shipment of pharmaceuticals arrives, a transport with live animals is being processed, and special cargo requiring extra attention is waiting to be checked

Everything needs to be right, safe, accurate and compliant with the correct procedures

As a Special Cargo Checker: Special cargo such as pharmaceuticals, live animals and other sensitive goods is checked and verified; Work is carried out according to clear international guidelines, which are fully taught and supported by us; Shipments are placed and stored correctly within the warehouse; Irregularities are identified and resolved, sometimes in coordination with colleagues or external partners; Safety and correct handling procedures are continuously monitored; Proper action is taken in case of incidents, following established procedures; Acting as a key point of contact for colleagues and customers; Supporting the preparation of the correct documentation

This role is all about accuracy, responsibility and teamwork

Who are you

MBO level of working and thinking, or equivalent; Detail-oriented and accurate; Solution-driven with a strong sense of responsibility; Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written; Flexible and willing to work irregular shifts; A proactive team player; In possession of a valid EU driver’s license; Willing to obtain relevant certifications, such as for special cargo or forklift operations

What do we offer

A

starting from €3,010.11 gross per month, excluding allowances; A full-time position, 38 hours per week in shift work; Allowances for irregular working hours; A 7-month contract with the prospect of a permanent position; 25 vacation days per year; 8% holiday allowance; Travel expense reimbursement; Pension scheme and insurance discounts; Paid training and guidance
