FX & Liquidity Advisor (Maternity Cover – 12 months)
Job Description
As one of the premier corporate treasury teams in the Nordics with global reach, we are looking for a driven Treasury professional to join Global Cash Management within the Treasury & Risk organisation.
As FX & Liquidity Advisor, you will be part of a close‑knit team of finance professionals from many different nationalities who share responsibility for the company exposure to financial markets, global liquidity, and our transaction banking and cash management infrastructure. It is a team that is always busy, but keeps a good and informal team atmosphere. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a leading global treasury function, managing financial risk at scale while contributing to ongoing transformation and optimisation initiatives.
What you’ll be doing
You will play a key role in safeguarding Maersk's financial position by managing Group liquidity, FX and Interest rates risks, helping to secure stable and predictable outcomes across our global operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
FX & Risk Management
- Monitor and analyse FX exposures across multiple currencies and entities
- Execute hedging strategies in line with treasury policies
- Support forecasting, reporting, and hedge effectiveness processes
- Partner with stakeholders to improve FX awareness and practices
- Monitor FX market developments and assess impact on the Group.
Liquidity & Cash Management
- Monitor daily liquidity positions and cash balances
- Execute cash placements and support short-term investment decisions
- Ensure adherence to liquidity and counterparty risk policies
Interest Rate & Funding Support
- Support monitoring of interest rate exposure across debt and cash positions
- Contribute to execution of hedging strategies and related reporting
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and efficiency
- Contribute to initiatives that optimise treasury’s impact on the wider business
About the team
You will join a high-impact team within Global Cash Management, working closely with colleagues across Treasury, Finance, and the wider business.
The team has evolved significantly in recent years, with a strong focus on:
- Automation and efficiency
- Reducing manual processes
- Increasing value-added advisory and insights
This means you will have the opportunity to contribute beyond day-to-day execution and help shape how treasury operates going forward.
What we’re looking for
We are open to different backgrounds, but ideally you bring:
- Experience in treasury, banking, or financial markets, with exposure to:
- FX (foreign exchange)
- Liquidity / cash management
- Interest rate risk management
- A strong execution mindset with attention to detail and controls
- Ability to work effectively in a global, complex environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders
- A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving
