Maintenance Mechanic - 3091 Job Summary Assists in the repair and maintenance of equipment or machinery. Job Duties Perform basic routine maintenance on plant equipment and understand basic preventative techniques Diagnose and repair all breakdowns pertaining to machinery, utility services and building structures Specify the necessary tools, parts and surplus stock to minimize operational down time of operations Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, blueprints, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Perform work under direct supervision Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter, including fluid dynamic application 0 to 2 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment Powered industrial equipment certification preferred Competencies/ Skills Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directions Basic verbal and written communication skills Manual dexterity Ability to lift/move heavy objects Physical stamina Ability to work as part of a team Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.00
