Boyne City Schools is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Language Arts Teacher to inspire and engage our students for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of reading and writing in adolescent learners.

About the Role:

As a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, you will report directly to the Middle School Principal and play a crucial role in shaping students' academic and personal growth. You will be responsible for creating a vibrant and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels empowered to learn and succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, research-based English Language Arts instruction aligned with the State of Michigan benchmarks.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote high student engagement and a positive, productive learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and ability levels of all students within the same classroom.
• Seamlessly integrate technology into daily lessons to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
• Collaborate actively and effectively with content and grade-level teams to achieve individual classroom, building, and district-wide educational goals.
• Contribute positively to the school community, potentially through coaching, advising, or supporting extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Required: An active Michigan Teaching Certificate with a BX code or similar.
• Desired: Additional teaching endorsements are a plus. 
• Demonstrated experience and a proven track record of success working with adolescent-aged students.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• A strong team player with a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and a genuine willingness to contribute to a collaborative professional learning community.

Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year, operating under the terms of the current union contract.
