Custodial Cleaner

Boyne City Public Schools is looking for a full-time Custodial Cleaner

3. Ability to communicate with others, informing them of changing situations and asking questions when situations arise that you need help with on the job.
4. High School diploma or GED certificate.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Assists the maintenance personnel as needed while they perform their duties.
2. The position will entail general cleaning, lifting, possible lawn care and snow removal, minor building maintenance and repair, generally associated with custodial work. 
3. Monitor building security and safety by unlocking doors at designated times and locking them after hours.
4. Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and individuals.
5. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
6. Assist building personnel with daily needs, including lunchroom setup, take-down, and cleanup, as well as daily activity/event preparations.   
7. Assist staff and visiting public in using school facilities, including providing directions within the building, and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials.
8. Lifting and moving materials and equipment.
9. Other duties as assigned or requested
