Auria is looking to hire a Senior Lead Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Engineer to support a classified mission operations program for the U.S. Space Force. This role leads requirements engineering, interface definition, and systems design review preparation activities in a fast-paced Phase 1 program environment, working directly alongside the Chief Engineer. The selected candidate must be capable of producing senior-quality SE artifacts with minimal oversight.
Primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO (hybrid). Travel to Government and Auria facilities may be required.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Own the requirements traceability matrix (RTM): establish the traceability framework, populate initial requirements, and maintain it through program design reviews and beyond.
- Stand up the Interface Control Document (ICD) input process: define the ICD template structure, coordinate data calls with technical leads, and drive ICD content to design-review-ready state.
- Drive systems design review readiness artifact generation, including system architecture documentation, block diagrams, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevation drawings in coordination with the Chief Engineer.
- Perform requirements decomposition and allocation, ensuring system-level requirements are traceable to subsystem specifications and test cases.
- Develop and maintain the System Specification and contribute to the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation.
- Support configuration management processes: maintain configuration baselines, coordinate change control activities, and ensure documentation reflects current approved design.
- Lead SEIT III and II engineers as they phase in; provide technical direction and review SEIT artifact quality.
- Contribute to verification matrices, risk register inputs, and test reports; support formal systems engineering reviews (SDR, CDR, TRR) as the requirements and integration lead.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- 10–15 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and test on classified DoW programs, with demonstrated ability to lead SEIT activities independently.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining requirements traceability matrices and Interface Control Documents on complex DoW systems.
- Experience preparing and supporting formal systems engineering reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) as a technical lead or senior contributor.
- Strong documentation skills; ability to produce clear system architecture artifacts, block diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with configuration management principles and baseline control in a classified program environment.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Current U.S. Government Top SECRET clearance.
- Experience supporting DoW, U.S. Space Force, or Space Systems Command ground system programs.
- Familiarity with SATCOM or satellite ground systems architecture, ICD structures, and mission operations system design.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) frameworks and tools (e.g., Cameo, DOORS, or Jira-based requirements management).
- Experience with RF link budgets, modem configuration, or SATCOM performance verification.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $144,067 – $195,000
APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 31, 2026
