Job Description

Join us as the first Senior E-commerce Manager for Miele Professional and help shape the future of B2B e-commerce within a global premium brand.

As part of the Miele Professional team at Miele X, you will play a pivotal role in driving direct sales growth through our own webshop. Today, Miele Professional operates 17 webshops with basic functionality and limited assortments, resulting in a heterogenous experience. You will take ownership of elevating this channel into a high-performing, scalable, and customercentric B2B e-commerce engine. This includes designing and executing strategies that boost customer activation, conversion, and retention, while owning performance across all KPIs such as net sales, conversion rate, and customer lifetime value.

Collaboration will be essential. Your main counterparts will be your peers in the E-commerce team, who manage webshop operations and the digital platform, as commercial responsibility shifts from today’s decentralized model to a centralized one. You will also partner with regional marketing teams to understand local needs, customer behaviours, and commercial priorities. Finally, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Digital Marketing, IT, Services, Product Marketing, and Brand to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience and accelerate our digital growth ambitions.

This role is ideal for an experienced digital leader who combines analytical rigour with creativity, brings deep understanding of B2B buying behaviour, and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where you can build, influence, and innovate. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY JOB

  • Develop and lead the global B2B e-commerce strategy, defining tactics and campaigns that drive direct online sales via our own platform.
  • Own global e-commerce performance, including setting sales targets, KPIs, budgets, and forecasting models, and communicating risks, opportunities, and recommended actions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Drive customer acquisition and repeat purchases through data-led, performance-driven initiatives.
  • Shape product assortment and merchandising, incl. SKUs, bundles, pricing, and promotions.
  • Lead new commercial initiatives, such as subscription models, outlet opportunities, and (cross-)selling of consumables, accessories, spare parts, and service contracts.
  • Develop the webshop roadmap with the e-commerce team and IT, balancing commercial priorities with technical feasibility to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Align with regional and local sales and marketing to understand local insights, collaborate on product assortment, and manage potential channel conflicts.
  • Collaborate with your peers in the Miele X Professional team to translate e-commerce plans into concrete digital marketing campaigns and safeguard their execution, quality, and timing.
  • Partner with operations teams to optimize payment solutions, fulfilment, delivery options, inventory planning, and returns processes.
  • Support market expansion planning, advising on new market entry opportunities.
  • Present strategic proposals to technical and nontechnical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, Digital Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, with significant commercial responsibility and measurable sales impact.
  • Proven experience in multi-market B2B environments, with strong understanding of professional buyer needs and complex procurement journeys.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or scale e-commerce functions, ideally in organizations evolving from decentralized to centralized operating models.
  • Strategic mindset with strong operational execution, able to shape long-term direction while managing day-to-day performance.
  • Highly data-driven, with the ability to interpret webshop analytics, customer behaviour, and KPI trends to inform commercial decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with e-commerce and analytics tools, such as Shopify, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of digital and IT architecture, integrations, data flows, and technical constraints that impact scalability.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, promotions, assortment strategy, digital marketing, and navigating channel conflicts.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship-management skills, able to influence cross-functional teams and markets, and to present business cases, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and resilient, thriving in ambiguity and motivated to build and innovate within a growing digital organization.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, and fluency in another European language is an advantage.
