Facilities Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift (BSA-1, Montgomery, AL)

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be alongside our facilities and security staff to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist in all aspects of building functions and guarantee the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine facility inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, and maintaining, and records. Our ideal candidate exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities.

Essential Functions

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper Building code, safety standards and cleaning procedures
• Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and
• Communicate with facilities staff to support contractors and vendors
• Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
• Run routine maintenance inspections
• Monitor interior and exterior areas of building for cleanliness and general conservation
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
• Maintenance and installment work as needed

 

 

Basic Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Actively seeking a Facilities or Maintenance trade certification that applies to this position
• Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing skills or
• Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems or
• Knowledge of Electric power
• Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Great problem-solving skills

 

Preferred Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

• None Required but preferred Certificate of plumping, electrician, or HVAC system

 

Working Conditions:

• Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
• Maintain the Factory building and outside of auxiliary building or equipment but not limited
