This is a pivotal interim leadership role for a data-driven professional who can manage an active department of 10 staff while navigating a major technological evolution to Workday Student. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Systems, Technology & Process Redesign:

  • Workday Student Ownership: Maintain, audit, and optimize academic rules and business processes within Workday Student, aligning workflows with academic catalog changes.

  • Change Control: Serve on the Workday Operations Committee to approve cross-functional system alignments and evaluate semi-annual feature releases.
  • Data Analytics: Leverage reporting tools like Informer and the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) to eliminate processing bottlenecks and support data-informed decisions.

Strategic Leadership & Team Management:

  • Team Oversight: Recruit, manage, and evaluate a dedicated team of 10 registrar staff members, driving high performance and a collaborative environment.
  • Academic Operations: Execute and ensure the accurate completion of student course registration, grading, degree audits, academic standing, and the formal conferring of degrees.
  • Institutional Collaboration: Partner closely with Student Success Advising, Academic Affairs, Information Technology, Data Analytics, and the One Stop team to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment.
  • Compliance & Audits: Lead the registrar's components of the annual College audit and fulfill reporting mandates from local, state, and federal governments.
  • Commencement Support: Directly support logistical planning and execution prior to and on the day of commencement activities.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Master’s degree in education, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in records and registration services.
  • Technical Expertise: Direct, proven experience implementing, upgrading, and managing the Workday Student information system is required.
  • Core Attributes: Highly developed organizational leadership, critical thinking, analytical depth, and a commitment to diversity. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.

Why Berklee?

  • Impactful Steership: Guide a crucial operations department through a high-profile technology stabilization and system transition.
  • Cultural Access: Enjoy nightly access to world-class music, theater, and dance performances right on campus.
