What will you be doing!
- Providing leadership and supervision to a team of Planners, Schedulers, and Work Week Leaders to ensure safe and effective execution of work.
- Establishing performance standards, monitoring results, and implementing corrective actions through training plans, performance management, and lessons learned.
- Acting as the single point of contact for all work within the assigned zone.
- Reviewing and monitoring Work Requests and Work Orders, and initiating requests on customers' behalf as needed.
- Reviewing and approving work packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for execution.
- Identifying conflicts in resources, equipment, and systems while maintaining an optimized work backlog.
- Developing and managing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, five-week look-ahead plans, and rolling schedules to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
- Evaluating and coordinating emergent and high-priority work while balancing planned activities.
- Managing PM deferrals and ensuring proper configuration management and return-to-service processes.
- Coordinating activities with internal teams, contractors, facility owners, and engineering to meet schedules and customer expectations.
- Conducting walkdowns with stakeholders, including customers, trades, engineers, and facilities representatives.
- Coordinating underground service requests, shutdowns, outages, and associated planning activities.
- Leading or participating in meetings (e.g., POW, POND, safety meetings) as required.
- Tracking and achieving KPI targets for the zone and managing orphaned tasks.
- Supporting hiring, performance management, career development, and employee relations activities.
- Participating in incident investigations, return-to-work processes, and safety-related requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of technical or maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience working with maintenance planning, scheduling, and work management processes.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Extensive knowledge of site systems and equipment.
- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple complex activities in a logical, sequential manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets/schedules effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve operational challenges.
- Experience using software systems such as CMMS, Oracle, or similar tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of initiative, organization, and self-management.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
- Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
