ROLE
We're seeking a hands-on AI Solutions Engineer to lead the next phase of AI development across Nexus Marketing's operations.
Our teams already use AI in their daily work — primarily through Google Gemini Gems built around our existing processes. Your job is to take those workflows to the next level: turning them into robust, scalable agents and partnering with the people who run them to make them better.
This is a role at the intersection of engineering and enablement. You'll work directly with subject matter experts across copywriting, account management, design, video, and partnerships to understand how each function works, then design and deploy AI agents that make that work faster and higher-quality.
Just as important, you'll coach non-technical team members to adopt these tools confidently and use them well.
We're not looking for someone who clicks "accept all" and moves on. We want an engineer who understands the implications of each decision — security, scalability, cost, reliability — and can deploy solutions that work safely across many users on a team, not just on their own machine.
You'll start by partnering with leadership to shape the AI roadmap, and over time you'll grow into owning it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Take existing AI-supported processes (currently built on Google Gemini Gems) and develop them into scalable, production-ready agents
Partner with subject matter experts across copywriting, account management, design, video, and partnerships to understand workflows and iterate on solutions
Design, build, and deploy AI agents and tooling that improve speed and quality across business functions
Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, and reliable when deployed across multiple non-technical users
Coach and upskill non-technical team members so they can adopt and use AI tools effectively
Make deliberate, well-reasoned engineering decisions and explain the trade-offs (security, scalability, cost, reliability) clearly
Document tools, workflows, and best practices so they can be maintained and scaled across the organization
Partner with leadership to shape the AI roadmap, growing into ownership of it over time
Stay current on the rapidly evolving AI landscape and bring new capabilities and ideas to the team
WORK SCHEDULE
This role follows a consistent daily rhythm that aligns with US Eastern business hours while giving you time for rest, personal tasks, and balance throughout your day.
Here’s what a typical day looks like:
Start your day with a 4.5-hour work block: 9:30am–2:00pm (PHT)
Enjoy your afternoon free: 2:00pm–8:00pm (PHT)
Finish your workday with another 4.5-hour block: 8:00pm–12:30am (PHT)
Sleep/rest: 12:30am–9:30am (PHT)
This structure offers a long midday break while supporting strong collaboration with US-based teams during their business hours.
What Your Typical Day May Look Like
Note: All of these times would shift 1 hour later when the time difference switches to 13 hour differences from 12 hour differences
REQUIREMENTS
Based in the Philippines with consistent availability for a long-term role
At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience
Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
Strong academic background with an outstanding General Weighted Average
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
Proven experience serving as the engineering partner to non-technical teams or stakeholders
Experience deploying scalable AI solutions, ideally within a professional services or agency context (a strong plus)
Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude, Codex, and Gemini, as well as other modern AI tooling
Real understanding of AI deployment trade-offs — security, scalability, cost, and reliability — not just prompt-and-accept usage
Strong coding ability alongside fluency with AI-native and agent-building tools
Experience designing and deploying agents or automated workflows that scale across multiple users
Highly organized, proactive, and able to drive adoption across non-technical teams
Comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
MEET THE TEAM
We currently have 100+ team members who live in the Philippines who have been fantastic team members and we’re excited to add new team members to this new role! Meet our PH Team Members.
You'll be working with our product, tech, and design teams that are split between the US & Philippines.
As a small growing business, there are a few traits unique to our business that individuals should consider before applying.
You must love the idea of giving back to the community and nonprofits. There are thousands of jobs. If being involved in the success of nonprofits is something you’re truly passionate about, this could be a great role.
You must be extremely comfortable with change. As a small growing company, decisions can be made over a weekend and fully implemented by early the next week. Whether that’s new systems, new processes, or new approaches, we look for individuals who can adapt and thrive.
You must believe that the best contributors should get better rewards. As a company, we believe in paying people based on the value they generate at the business.
You must be willing to disagree and commit. As a growing business, there will be lots of decisions that get made and changes that occur during your time at the company. Some of which you’ll agree with and some you won’t, we strongly believe that the best team members have the ability to disagree and commit (i.e., going with a decision after it has been made regardless of whether or not you agree).
You must believe the status quo is unacceptable. As a growing company and as individuals, we believe the status quo is unacceptable. Everyone should be relentless in striving to be the best version of themselves and figure out ways to create more value at the company, enhance our client's results, and grow professionally. The question should always be “How can I be better” rather than “How can expectations be adjusted”.
