Compensation:

$29.12-$32.29/hour

  • Production Bonus: Up to $190/week
  • Distance Premium: Average of $15/day

The work:

The Sawmills Division is seeking a reliable and motivated Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) for the Veneer Sawmill—someone who brings a positive attitude and values teamwork.

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and industrial machinery and equipment in a production environment
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, assembly, and preventive maintenance on machines
  • Read and interpret technical plans to manufacture or modify equipment
  • Monitor daily maintenance activities and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Repair or replace components such as chains, belts, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and more
  • Use power tools for welding, cutting, and other mechanical tasks

Your Qualifications:

  • Education required: Diploma in Industrial Mechanics (Block 3 or higher), with training support available to pursue Red Seal certification
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Welding certification is an asset. If you're interested in pursuing certification, the company will support your training
  • Any interest in further training will be assessed and supported by the company as needed
  • Bilingualism is an asset, but not required
  • Must meet JDI selection criteria
