The Investigator will lead high quality, survivor centred and trauma informed investigations into concerns involving staff, partners, volunteers, and programme participants. This role ensures that allegations of exploitation, abuse, harassment, bullying, discrimination and other misconduct are responded to promptly, ethically, and in line with organisational policies and sector best practice.
What you will do:
The Case Management, Response and Investigations function is part of the War Child Alliance Integrity & Safeguarding team and is dedicated to developing and implementing comprehensive case management policies and procedures for safeguarding, integrity and SEAH investigations. The post holder will also work with the Investigations Lead to develop War Child’s internal investigations capacity, processes and procedures.
- Conduct investigations from intake to reporting in line with organisational procedures
- Gather and analyse evidence, including interviews and documentation
- Produce clear, objective investigation reports with substantiated findings
- Ensure survivor-centred, trauma-informed approaches throughout investigations
- Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards
- Provide technical input and guidance to country teams as required
- Contribute to organisational learning through identification of trends and lessons
- Assist in strengthening War Child’s internal investigations capacity
ROLE-SPECIFIC OR CONTEXT RESPONSIBILITIES
- This role is expected to betravel/mobile across cluster countries; expected duration can vary depending on needs of the country.
- This position does not include AFAC (Anti Fraud& Corruption) responsibilities
