The Business Development Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across Exentec's portfolio of critical environment solutions and services. The role focuses on building customer relationships, generating qualified opportunities, supporting proposal development, and driving revenue growth within the semiconductor, data center, battery, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing markets. Working closely with engineering, operations, and project delivery teams, the Business Development Manager helps position Exentec as a trusted partner for cleanroom, dryroom, media systems, modular, installation, and facility solutions.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development: Develop and execute account growth strategies targeting semiconductor, data center, battery, and life sciences customers. Identify and qualify opportunities aligned with Exentec's critical environment and technology solutions portfolio.
- Sales Leadership & Opportunity Management: Lead the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting through contract execution, including customer engagement, opportunity qualification, solution positioning, commercial negotiations, and closing.
- Solution Selling & Proposal Development: Collaborate with engineering, estimating, project delivery, and operations teams to develop compelling customer solutions, technical proposals, pricing strategies, and presentations that differentiate Exentec in the market.
- Strategic Account Management: Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, design firms, OEMs, contractors, and industry partners to position Exentec as the preferred provider of critical environment solutions.
- Market Expansion: Drive market penetration initiatives and identify emerging industry trends, technologies, and customer requirements to support long-term business growth and market leadership.
Show your expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline
- Demonstrated success selling complex technical solutions, engineering services, construction services, or technology infrastructure projects
- Experience developing executive-level customer relationships
- Strong understanding of high-tech manufacturing environments and critical infrastructure markets
- Consultative and solution-selling approach
- Experience managing complex pursuits and multi-million-dollar opportunities
- Executive presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
