Senior Manager / Associate Director, Finance and Business Advisory - General Account Investment - Strategic Projects

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver special projects and strategic initiatives to support GA business and growth opportunities in Asia and drive cross-functional project implementation with key stakeholders, ensuring deliverables are organized and completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide business solutions focused on development of investment capabilities for assets across Asia across a range of asset classes including fixed income, private equity, real estate and derivatives. 
  • Closely work with and manage technology delivery teams to execute strategic projects
  • Prepare analysis and build presentations for senior leadership to support strategic business proposals leveraging in depth analysis across key investment driven priorities.
  • Lead fund structuring of investment vehicles, as well as provide an opportunity to drive implementation of General Account Investment considerations in M&A activity.
  • Support initiatives related to developments within the regulatory and tax regimes including SFC, MAS, IFRS, capital/ solvency review and global minimum tax.
  • Share responsibilities of the team in enhancing finance, governance, and risk matters

                                                                                                                                   

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of working experience in the asset management/ insurance industry.
  • Consulting, project management and strategic planning or equivalent relevant experiences are welcome
  • Strong knowledge of investment operations, derivative trade lifecycle, and/or collateral management is highly advantageous
  • Education and Designation in Finance/ Accounting is preferred (e.g. CFA, CPA)
  • Knowledge of investments and an understanding of investment structures, asset allocation, risk frameworks as well as policies and procedures is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the Asia regulatory and operating environment is a plus
  • Strategic mindset paired with a strong will to action and deliver.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work productively with multiple parties at all different levels in the global organization.
  • Sound analytical and organizational skills are highly valuable.
  • Ability to work adaptably and independently within a growing business.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel (knowledge of advanced formulas, pivots, macro/ VBA knowledge), PowerBI, and other systems.
