As a Final Shipper, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products are accurately verified, safely packed, and shipped according to company procedures and customer requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining quality, accuracy, and compliance while supporting smooth warehouse and production operations.
As a Final Shipper, you will be responsible for:
Generating quality control certificates, box labels, and tags as required
Performing final work order checks and welding tags to discs when needed
Packing individual discs or holder items per procedure to ensure safe shipment
Verifying that all items listed on the sales order are present
Completing packing lists accurately
Re‑packing orders into master crates or cartons and building wooden crates as needed
Determining the correct carrier/method of shipment and arranging shipments accordingly
Generating “ship to” address markings
Providing customer‑specified exterior carton markings, dimensions, and weights
Performing other duties as assigned based on workload and business needs
To be successful in this role, you will:
Qualifications
Have a high school diploma or GED
Have 1–3 months of experience in a shipping or production environment
Have previous CDC production experience (preferred)
Technical / Functional Skills
Have basic math and reading skills
Have computer skills sufficient to work with carrier websites and generate labels
Have the ability to use required tools (spot welder, riveter, grinders, sanders, power saws, nail gun, tape gun, heat sealer, stapler, forklift)
Behavioral Skills
Have willingness to follow all manufacturing, shipping procedures, and company policies
Have strong attention to detail
Have concern for quality, accuracy, and safety
Have the ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently
Have a positive attitude and ability to work well with peers, supervisors, management, and external visitors
Physical Requirements
Have motor skills sufficient to safely use required tools and machinery
Have the ability to stand or walk for 8–10 hours per shift (or more during overtime)
Have the ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs and lift up to 100 lbs with equipment
Have the ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes)
Have willingness to work overtime, alternate shifts, and weekends as needed
