Shifts offered within operational hours of 8.00am–8.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am–5.00pm Saturdays
Bank rate £25.77–£30.92 per hour depending on shift time.

We’re looking for a Bank Senior Radiographer – MRI to join our Imaging team at The Harborne Hospital. As one of HCA Healthcare UK’s newest hospitals, The Harborne Hospital offers a modern, purpose‑built environment with advanced diagnostic facilities supporting a wide range of specialties, including a growing cardiac service. Our imaging department plays a vital role in delivering timely, accurate diagnostics, and you’ll be joining a team that values professionalism, collaboration and consistently high standards of care.

As a Senior Radiographer – MRI, you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient‑focused imaging services. Your role will involve supporting a varied MRI caseload, maintaining excellent clinical standards and contributing to the smooth, efficient running of the department. Cardiac MRI experience is preferable and would be particularly valued as part of our specialist imaging offering. This bank role offers flexibility while allowing you to work in a well‑resourced service with experienced colleagues and high‑quality equipment.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide accurate, high‑quality diagnostic imaging by operating imaging equipment in line with local operational procedures, ensuring routine quality assurance checks are completed
  • Maintain a professional approach at all times, delivering high standards of practice and customer care within the department
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support clinical efficiency and effective patient pathways
  • Support the orientation and training of colleagues and students, sharing knowledge and best practice
  • Ensure equipment faults or malfunctions are accurately recorded and reported to the appropriate teams

What you’ll bring:

  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer
  • Extensive post‑qualification MRI experience, ideally gained within the UK
  • A strong understanding of clinical governance, MRI safety and local protocols
  • Cardiac MRI experience is preferable
  • A flexible, professional approach with strong communication skills and a commitment to high‑quality patient care
