Senior Electrical Engineer – Telecommunications Manufacturing & Electrical Design Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and manufacturing support of advanced telecommunications hardware. This role drives product development from concept to production, ensuring reliability, manufacturability, compliance, and performance. The ideal candidate has strong experience in circuit design, telecom hardware, PCB development, validation, and manufacturing support. You will act as a technical leader within the R&D team, collaborating with mechanical, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing functions. Key Responsibilities Product Design & Development Lead design of telecom hardware including network infrastructure, radio systems, gateways, routers, switches, and embedded devices Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, and RF circuits Define system architectures and technical specifications Perform component selection, simulation, and design optimization Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and documentation Support FPGA, embedded processors, and high-speed interfaces PCB & Electronics Engineering Oversee multi-layer PCB design and layout Ensure signal/power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal performance Design interfaces (Ethernet, fiber, USB, PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART) Telecommunications Systems Develop systems aligned with industry standards Integrate technologies including Ethernet/IP, fiber optics, wireless, RF, synchronization, and telecom power (DC systems) Analyze performance and troubleshoot communication systems       Testing & Validation Develop and execute verification plans Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, etc.) Lead debugging and root-cause analysis Verify performance, reliability, and compliance Support environmental and qualification testing (Thermal & live testing) Manufacturing & Production Support Apply DFM, DFT, and DFA principles Support NPI and production ramp-up Resolve production issues and improve yields Collaborate with suppliers on technical and lifecycle management Compliance & Quality Ensure regulatory and telecom compliance Support certification and testing Participate in quality and continuous improvement activities Maintain engineering documentation Leadership & Project Management Lead design reviews and technical decisions Mentor engineers and technicians Coordinate cross-functional activities and schedules Assess technical risks and mitigation plans Support customer interactions when needed     Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field 8–15+ years in electronics and telecom hardware development Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools Strong analog, digital, and mixed-signal design expertise Proven track record delivering products to production Understanding of telecom systems and networking Manufacturing support experience Strong troubleshooting and system-level problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering RF and wireless systems experience Familiarity with optical networking Experience in regulated telecom environments Cross-functional project leadership Technical Skills Electronics Design Analog, digital, mixed-signal design Power supplies and high-speed PCB design Signal/power integrity and EMI/EMC mitigation Telecommunications Ethernet switching/routing, fiber optics Network synchronization, telecom power RF and wireless systems Industrial communication protocols Tools PCB tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor or similar) Simulation tools (SPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink) Lab instrumentation PLM systems Manufacturing DFM/DFA/DFT Failure analysis and root cause investigation Supplier management, NPI, yield improvement Leadership Competencies Technical leadership and sound engineering judgment Problem solving and cross-functional collaboration Project execution and risk management Success Measures Successful product launches Achievement of performance, reliability, and quality targets Reduced defects and field failures Regulatory compliance On-time, on-budget delivery Strong team capability development
