
Finance Manager (Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur)
Job Description
The Finance Manager has a direct responsibility for the implementation and supervision of proper financial and accounting practices in the managed Strata and residential communities, and directly supervises the accounting team to achieve best practice standards of accounts processing, collections, financial control and administrative reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual Facility Management (FM) operational budgets, ensuring expenditures remain within approved allocations and aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and oversee Station Reopening (SRO) budget utilisation, including security services, temporary tank closures, and other operational requirements.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of accrual reports, invoices, and monthly account closures through SAP and Oracle systems in compliance with reporting timelines.
- Monitor FM operational performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring service delivery targets, financial objectives, and operational standards are achieved.
- Support financial planning, reporting, variance analysis, and audit activities to ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements, and service agreements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, auditors, and relevant authorities on financial, operational, and compliance-related matters.
- Identify financial and operational risks, support mitigation actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and profitability.
- Support team coordination, financial governance, and implementation of process improvements, including digitalisation and performance-based management initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, reporting, or facility/property management operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budget management, variance analysis, and compliance practices.
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or other financial/accounting systems is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of operational KPIs, audit processes, and financial governance requirements.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
