Salary: $95,000 - $115,000+DOE + Performance-Based Bonuses

Head of Sales & Marketing – Premium Distilled Spirits (Mid-Atlantic) Description
Our client, a cutting-edge distilled spirits and whiskey brand is launching its East Coast presence and is seeking a Head of Sales & Marketing to build and dominate the Mid-Atlantic market from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to step in at the front end of a brand’s regional expansion and create something meaningful — not inherit a mature, over-managed territory. You will have full ownership of the region’s go-to-market strategy, from door-to-door account acquisition to distributor execution, brand placement, and revenue growth. This role is designed for a true hunter and entrepreneur — someone who thrives on opening new liquor accounts, winning accounts, and turning a new label into a must-carry brand across bars, restaurants, and liquor retailers. The ideal candidate brings a proven background in distilled spirits, beer, or wine, a strong Mid-Atlantic distributor network, and the ability to both sell personally and build a high-performing team as business scales. As the East Coast footprint grows, this role offers a clear runway into national leadership and executive-level responsibility.
Head of Sales & Marketing – Premium Distilled Spirits (Mid-Atlantic) Responsibilities
• Develop and execute national sales and marketing strategies
• Build and manage distributor, retailer, and key account relationships
• Drive distributor performance, pricing, promotions, and execution
• Lead brand strategy, digital marketing, PR, events, and consumer engagement
• Develop trade marketing programs and retail activations
• Manage forecasting, budgeting, KPIs, and sales performance
• Oversee eCommerce strategy and strategic partnerships
• Recruit, coach, and lead sales teams and brand ambassadors
• Partner with executive leadership on growth, product launches, and market expansion
• Ensure regulatory compliance and represent the company at industry events
Head of Sales & Marketing – Premium Distilled Spirits (Mid-Atlantic) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years of sales experience in distilled spirits, wine, or beer required
• Hands-on direct sales experience calling on bars, restaurants, and liquor retailers required
• Demonstrated success building markets, launching brands, and scaling regional revenue required
• Strong understanding of distributor management and the three-tier alcohol distribution system required
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region (approx. 75%) required
