
Usher and Retail Associate - On Call (Horseshoe Hammond)
Job Description
Greet guests and seat them in the showroom. Handle and solve any concerns and questions from guests in a helpful manor. Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all Venue guests. Perform functions to assist guests with purchases and ring up sales. Conduct physical inventory. Exercise good judgment in assisting guests with questions following company and department policies and procedures. Work with other departments as needed.
- Ensures the Venue is maintained in a clean, sanitary and appealing manner, to Venue standards throughout the shift.
- Checks the room for proper seating order and checks neatness of seating area before show starts.
- Arrange floor seating according to applicable venue map; make sure seating signage is visible.
- Rearrange seating as needed post show and help clean up the room after performance.
- Handle difficult problems which arise during seating, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the room for distractions or problems during the show; handle any issue that may arise properly.
- Ensure only guests with proper credentials obtain access to restricted areas.
- Maintain communication with other departments within the Venue to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Scan tickets as guest enters venue, and scan exiting guests for re-entry.
- Greets guests and offers direction in locating their seats. Escorts full comps and guests who enter at show time to their seats.
•Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
•Non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
•At least one year in a guest service position or usher experience.
•Literacy and fluency in English
•Ability to handle multiple tasks
•Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
•Above average communication skills
•Above average reasoning skills
•Ability to move chairs and tables easily
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•Must qualify for, obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming
Commission
