As a Senior Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate all design activities across complex projects, ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables aligned with budget, schedule, and project goals. You will drive technical excellence, manage interfaces, and contribute to overall project success in an international environment.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all technical design activities and interfaces across disciplines and external partners
- Ensure design reviews, verifications, and proactive risk mitigation
- Monitor technical scope, identify deviations, and report design status
- Support project readiness across all phases and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, package owners, and clients
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards
Show your expertise
- 15+ years of experience in multidisciplinary design and construction projects (industrial / life sciences preferred)
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Civil or similar)
- Strong knowledge of BIM, clash detection, and space management
- Solid understanding of design, installation, construction, and relevant regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage complex projects, timelines, and resources
- Based in France (Lyon or Paris) with knowledge of French regulations
- Willingness to travel across France for project assignments
- Languages: English and French (minimum B2 level required)
