The Role
Vogue is looking for a Manager, Social Media, Vogue Business. This role will focus on building Vogue Business’s membership audience and paid member base.
The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in using LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and X, as well as an eye for the next development in social media and technology. They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the Vogue Business editorial voice and tone, as well as the Vogue visual language, and will have a keen eye for creating social-first content that drives engagement while reflecting the brand’s premium aesthetic. They will work closely with the editorial team to translate Vogue Business stories into compelling, platform-native creative and convey them in the most engaging way across channels.
The Manager, Social Media will also work closely with the Vogue Social Media and Audience teams to set and implement high-level strategies for each platform, lead collaboration on content creation for social channels, and execute social posts with the aim of driving membership growth.
What will you be doing?
Write, schedule, and optimise daily posts across multiple social platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and WhatsApp
Write social media copy in the Vogue Business tone of voice with close attention to detail and execute best-in-class social storytelling, gathering assets from different teams
Ideating and strategising fresh social video franchises, with light-touch video editing
Select imagery, video, and visual content that engages audiences across image banks, Getty and Vogue-owned assets
Work closely with editorial stakeholders to roll out stories, series, events, and packages across social media platforms
Work with the commercial stakeholders as they align with clients on contracts; implement sales obligations across platforms
Work with partners in the marketing teams to ensure the social tone of voice + visuals are carried through paid social campaigns on the correct platforms, and brainstorm/ideate with our agency and marketing stakeholders moments in the organic calendar that would translate across paid social campaigns
Make content recommendations to the editorial team informed by social media trends and pitch social angles and social-extension ideas that align with editorial objectives across both print and digital
Manage Vogue Business digital member communities via the Vogue App by gaining new members, and retaining and engaging existing members
Build creative assets for various social platforms and write creative briefs for assets
Brainstorm new ideas and plan rollout strategies for testing with the audience development team
Attend events to cover social media posting and be available for breaking news moments
Monitor social media conversation and ideate reactive content for engagement on key social platforms
Plan, design and implement successful social strategies on packages, tentpoles (such as Met Gala, Vogue World, VB Summit), and global and local stories.
Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to Vogue and Conde Nast’s digital and audience development team
Oversee social media content calendars considering key tentpoles, events and Vogue Business schedules
Engage with our audience through thoughtful, impactful, relationship-driven communication
About you
A minimum requirement of 3+ years social media management experience
Passionate about existing and emergent social media platforms and growing audiences
A strong understanding of social media trends and how to translate these into content for brands
Familiarity with video editing tools and an understanding of how to synthesise engaging video content is a must
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, with the ability to create and adapt high-quality creative assets.
Familiarity with social video content and formats - experience of video strategy a bonus
Positive team player and an enthusiastic work ethic
Familiarity with Vogue Business’s editorial content and tone of voice
Strong writing and communication skills
Good understanding of social media analytics and how to use data to inform strategy
Experience optimising social media content for engagement and/or traffic
Strong editorial judgment
Excellent organisational skills, focus, and attention to detail
An established ability to synthesise and communicate information quickly
Must complete an edit and video editing test (writing samples are a plus)
Some weekend and evening work may be required
