What You’ll Do:
- Provide individual and group counseling to children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with school staff and HCC’s provider team to support mental health needs.
- Deliver consultation, education, and training to school staff as needed.
- Coordinate behavioral and mental health services for effective care delivery.
- Accurately document clinical notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Offer evidence-based patient education in individual and classroom settings.
- Make appropriate referrals to internal and external support services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited behavioral/mental health program
- Active, unrestricted Michigan license as an LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in Play Therapy preferred, especially for elementary-aged children
- Clinical experience diagnosing and treating mental health conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
