🎯 What's your mission?
The GC Analyst is responsible for the analysis of fragrances in a wide range of consumer products. The role supports fragrance development by contributing analytical insights to formula understanding, performing project-based analyses, and working closely with perfumery and technical teams.
🛠️Here’s what you’ll be rocking every day
Perform fragrance analysis using GC-MS and GC-FID, including fragrance extraction, sample preparation, and dosage determination across Fine Fragrance, Customer Oils, Personal Care, Air Care, and Household products.
Support fragrance formula understanding and comparison activities by interpreting analytical data, contributing to formula reconstruction efforts, and assisting with customer sample analysis processes.
Execute routine analytical testing on GC‑MS and GC‑FID systems in accordance with established methods, protocols, and safety guidelines.
Perform basic chromatographic instrument maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance, following internal standards and procedures.
Contribute to analytical projects, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Perfumers, Compounding Laboratory, Applications, Quality Control (QC), R&D, and Evaluation teams.
Maintain and continuously develop a high level of fragrance raw material knowledge, both analytical and olfactory.
✅ What you need to shine in this role
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or any other related field
At least 2-3 years of experience in GC-MS/FID analysis, preferably within the fragrance, flavor, cosmetic, or consumer goods industry
Knowledge in variety of extraction techniques and chromatographic analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills, especially when interacting with perfumers and technical teams
Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and expand technical expertise
