Job Description

Paralegal — Financial Practice
We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a high-volume legal practice focused on financial cases. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in finance, banking, or administrative support who are eager to develop within the legal field. Prior experience in bankruptcy is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. The position requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and a high level of client interaction.
Responsibilities
• Communicate with clients to collect required documentation (pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements).
• Review, redact, organize, and prepare documentation for legal filings.
• Perform financial analysis and calculations using Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare legal documents such as affidavits, motions, objections, and correspondence.
• Monitor case progress and track deadlines.
• Follow up with clients to ensure timely submission of required information.
• Track client payments and identify inconsistencies or delays.
• Maintain and update case information in legal management systems.
• Collaborate with legal and administrative teams to ensure accurate case handling.
Requirements
Must Have
• At least 1 year of experience in a financial-related role (same role preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic analysis).
• Excellent organizational and documentation management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
• Experience in legal, financial services, banking, or office environments (1–2 years).
• Experience with legal management software (e.g., Clio or similar).
• Familiarity with bankruptcy-related tools or processes.
• Background in Law or Finance.
• Experience as a Legal Assistant (2–3 years).
