About the Role

 

Introduction –

This is a strong opportunity to take ownership of a key sales territory within Oxford University Press’s School Education business. As an Area Manager, Sales, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and strengthening market presence across your assigned region.

The role is particularly engaging as it combines territory management, customer engagement, and solution-oriented selling. You will work closely with schools and internal cross-functional teams, while also gaining exposure to both print and digital educational solutions in a dynamic and evolving market.

 

Opportunity –

In this role, you will:

  • Drive achievement of sales and collection budgets for the assigned territory through effective planning and execution
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and promote education products in the market
  • Focus on retention and growth of market share within the territory
  • Promote educational titles in the schools segment across designated areas
  • Deliver value-added services such as workshops and educational engagement activities
  • Execute sales plans effectively to achieve business targets
  • Ensure timely collections and closely track monthly collection budgets
  • Provide high levels of customer service and maintain strong relationships with schools
  • Manage accounts and monitor financial performance within the territory
  • Collaborate with internal teams including digital sales, operations, academic excellence, marketing, and product teams

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a relevant industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
  • Strong knowledge of the assigned market/territory
  • Solution-oriented sales approach with exposure to digital products

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding and appreciation of the school education ecosystem, including its structure, environment, and key challenges
