Client Accountant – Client Estate Management (CEM)

Role Summary

Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple client property portfolios including cash management, rent charges, AP/AR monitoring, accruals, and reconciliations. Maintain organization of high-volume workload while ensuring accurate financial reporting and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting • Produce monthly/quarterly client reports including Trial Balance and VAT reports • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and systematic cost variance analysis • Create ad hoc reports for estate managers and solicitors as required

  • Financial Controls • Monitor key performance indicators and resolve issues promptly • Complete timely and accurate control account reconciliations • Monitor funding levels and ensure timely recharges to clients and tenants • Perform controls per accredited control framework

  • Teamwork & Collaboration • Attend regular meetings with finance and estate managers to resolve issues • Work with AP/AR Specialists to manage workload effectively • Build strong relationships across portfolio finance teams

  • Ad Hoc Support • Coordinate resolution of day-to-day queries from clients and tenants • Support property and client transitions into and out of portfolios

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years professional accounting experience

  • Strong accounting knowledge and Excel skills

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with Horizon system

  • University degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance preferred

  • Experience managing large data volumes

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

  • Working towards ACCA or CIMA qualification desirable
