Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture, the People and Culture Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support across HR functions, including onboarding, team member records management, compliance, and team member support. A sound knowledge of HR concepts will ensure that we continue to effectively deliver exceptional service to our clients. The candidate will demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and a customer-service mindset. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate and facilitate Porter’s orientation program for new team members Responsible for the onboarding of all new team members, ensuring all required documentation is complete, prior to their first day Responsible for the creation of change forms, employment letters and various administrative tasks Support the talent acquisition team as required, including participating in interviews, initiating criminal background checks, preparing new hire packages, and creating and peer reviewing offer letters Support the People and Culture Advisors in team member matters and investigations Maintain People and Culture electronic filing systems; ensuring accuracy and completeness of confidential personnel files and team member records Coordinate the team member resignation process, including facilitating exit interviews, and tracking the return of company equipment Monitor the general People and Culture email inbox by providing a high level of customer service, responding to daily inquiries relating to company policies, programs and procedures in a timely manner Maintain good working relationships with team members across various stations and departments Support People and Culture projects and initiatives as assigned Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy Behavioural Competencies Concern for Safety: Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others. Teamwork: Working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals. Passenger/Customer Service: Providing service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers). Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise. Results Focus: Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards. Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus. Qualifications University Degree/Certificate in Human Resources Management or equivalent education Working toward a CHRP designation would be an asset Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a Human Resources environment Understanding of relevant legislation such as the Canada Labour Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and the Human Rights Code Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Outstanding attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Ability to work in a highly confidential manner with all work related contacts and exercise a high degree of tact and discretion Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced environment Ability to work well independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Bilingual in English and French is considered a strong asset Location Toronto Downtown Office (250 Yonge Street) #LI-Hybrid Company Description Since 2006, Porter Airlines has been elevating the experience of economy air travel for every passenger, providing genuine hospitality with style, care and charm.
