Health & Safety Technician

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Technician to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures. This role is key to ensuring compliance with legal requirements and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health & Safety policies and programs
• Ensure compliance with national and European health and safety legislation
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits
• Identify hazards and propose preventive and corrective actions aligned with all departments
• Support accident and incident investigations and reporting
• Promote health and safety awareness through training and communication initiatives
• Collaborate with internal departments, managers, and external entities
• Maintain H&S documentation and reports in accordance with legal and internal requirements

Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
• Certified Health & Safety Technician (CAP / equivalent certification)
• Knowledge of Portuguese H&S legislation
• Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Avaiability to work between 2:15pm and 10:10pm
