About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Technician to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures. This role is key to ensuring compliance with legal requirements and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health & Safety policies and programs
- Ensure compliance with national and European health and safety legislation
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and propose preventive and corrective actions aligned with all departments
- Support accident and incident investigations and reporting
- Promote health and safety awareness through training and communication initiatives
- Collaborate with internal departments, managers, and external entities
- Maintain H&S documentation and reports in accordance with legal and internal requirements
Requirements
- Degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
- Certified Health & Safety Technician (CAP / equivalent certification)
- Knowledge of Portuguese H&S legislation
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Avaiability to work between 2:15pm and 10:10pm
