If you are a Supplier Quality professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Suzhou location, you will be the key person for NPD parts development, new supplier qualification, cost and capacity improvement projects and supplier quality improvement. Your rule also will be to build strong supplier relationships, manage KPIs, and align supplier capabilities with organizational quality standards. And passionate about delivering zero-defect components and elevating supply chain reliability in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
AS A SR. SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- Develop and qualify local suppliers for Casting, Machining, Aluminum Die Casting, Power Metal, Stamping etc.
- Implement the supplier development projects and manage the schedule for delivery timely
- Conduct on-site suppliers’ PPAP (Production Part Approval Procedure) and control the PPAP quality
- Work with suppliers to continuously improve the supplier quality performance
- Solve the issues caused by supplier quality and take preventive actions.
- Audit suppliers’ quality system and process, work with suppliers to drive the improvement actions.
- Support suppliers on capacity increase and cost down projects
- Conduct feasibility review with relevant teams
- Coach and share technical knowledge with whole team
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- BS degree in mechanical or other related engineering background
- Be familiar with PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, SPC, APQP, ISO9001, Audit skills, GD&T etc. Capable understanding Engineering Prints and Specification
- At least 8 years’ experience of supplier quality and development
- Good communication and Teamwork player, work independently
- Good skill for project management and schedule control, Traveling is required
- Capable of problem solving and follow up
- Fluent verbal and written in English
- Be good at Microsoft Excel, Power Point etc. software skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Over 12 years’ experience of supplier quality and development
- OFC manufacturing related experience
