Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Content Operations and AEM, the Digital Asset Librarian is responsible for the daily stewardship, organization, and quality control of digital assets within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. This role ensures that creative, marketing, and product assets are properly tagged, versioned, rights-managed, and easy to find. Working closely with Creative/Studio, Content, Marketing, and Digital Experience teams, the Librarian supports intake, metadata application, governance adherence, and operational tasks that keep the DAM (Digital Asset Management repository) running smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role
- Execute daily asset ingestion into AEM based on approved workflows and standards
- Validate file types, naming conventions, resolution, and asset readiness prior to upload
- Organize assets into the correct folders, collections, and project structures
- Support bulk upload and batch tagging activities as needed
- Apply metadata, taxonomy, and keyword standards consistently across asset types
- Maintain accurate version histories for all creative, marketing, and product assets
- Ensure smart tags, required metadata fields, and rights information are complete and correct
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies and escalate issues to the AEM Digital Assets Manager
- Conduct routine QA checks to ensure assets meet brand, creative, and technical specifications
- Monitor usage of rights compliance (e.g., talent, stock, licensing expiry dates)
- Flag non-compliant assets and coordinate remediation activities
- Support ongoing DAM governance initiatives, audits, asset reporting, and clean-up cycles
- Provide frontline support for users searching, retrieving, or accessing assets in AEM
- Assist with troubleshooting asset issues (missing renditions, incorrect metadata, permission errors)
- Create and maintain simple reference guides, how-to materials, and process documentation
- Support user onboarding and training sessions as directed by the Senior Manager, Digital Content Operations and AEM
- Support the execution of asset-related workflows and approvals
- Maintain accurate tracking of asset tasks and requests using enterprise tools
- Organize, manage, and optimize digital assets in the DAM, refine taxonomy and metadata schema, refine workflow configuration, monitor asset usage metrics, and help integrate AEM DAM with other tools and platforms in partnership with the Senior Manager, Digital Content Operations and AEM
- Identify opportunities to simplify or improve daily asset processes and share recommendations.
About You
- Post-secondary education in Digital Media, Library Science, Information Management, Marketing, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in digital asset management, library sciences, content operations, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of Adobe content management platforms; experience with DAM in AEM 6.5 Cloud or other enterprise asset management platforms is desired.
- Understanding of metadata, taxonomy tagging principles content lifecycle management, and asset health monitoring
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with creative file formats (images, video, design) and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign/Lightroom)
- Solid communication and collaboration skills; ability to partner with creative, marketing, and digital teams.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency while also supporting fast moving projects.
