CDD is a non-profit community-based organization that supports individuals with developmental disABILITIES in their own homes throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area. We have been doing this for over 50 years with the goal of adding 50+ more in our sight. Speaking of goals, CDD offers incentives based on meeting agency-wide goals as well as differentials for homes that are behavioral, high medical needs, and for shifts that occur on Saturday and Sunday.  Community Access Driver that is a FULL TIME DSP as well while driving our company van.

Job Description

We are seeking a Community Access Driver to provide transportation services for developmentally disabled individuals. The Community Access Driver will be responsible for safely transporting individuals to and from various community activities, appointments, and events. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation services for developmentally disabled individuals
• Assist individuals with entering and exiting the vehicle
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of mileage and services provided

Requirements

• Valid Class E in Missouri or Class C in Kansas driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, the role is mainly Monday-Friday 8:30 to 3:30
